Celtra Snags $1.2M for SaaS Mobile Marketing

Celtra Inc., provider of “Software-as-a-Service” mobile marketing platform for agencies and brands, secured Series A financing from RSG Capital, a Slovenian based venture capital fund.

The service offered by Celtra includes a comprehensive mobile marketing package – SMS, MMS, Voice IVR, WAP and Mobile applications. Major entertainment brands are taking notice of the Cambridge, Mass.-based startup. 20th Century Fox, New Line Cinema, Warner Bros and Paramount) have used Celtra’s service for movie release campaigns such as Sex and the City, Meet the Spartans, What happens in Vegas, Tropic Thunder and others.

Celtra is opening a regional R&D and sales office in Ljubljana (Slovenia), in order to expand its operations to Europe. Celtra’s CEO and founder Mihael Mikek says: “This funding gives us one year time to demonstrate and prove the value of Celtra’s software to the business of some major US and European brands and ad agencies. We want to be their bridge from online to mobile and take care of all their activities on mobile.”
